Logo Contest

This year's Linux anniversary picnic and BBQ ("Picn*x14") needs a logo, so we're holding a contest!

The picnic coordinators will vote on the best artwork, and the winner's design will be used on the official [http://www.linuxpicnic.org/ Picn*x14 website], in banners advertising the picnic on user group websites, and on hundreds of official Picn*x14 t-shirts (to be donated by [http://www.linuxpicnic.org/sponsors Google]).

Design Idea

Picnic volunteer Bill Ward came up with a design concept using roman numerals ("PICN*X XIV"), where the "X" shapes make the legs of a picnic table. However, feel free to come up with your own original design!

Submission Requirements

Art should be at least 150dpi, but 300dpi is preferred. Full color graphics will be used on the website and in banners. Art for banners may be scaled, cropped and/or rearranged at the coordinators' discretion. (The t-shirt version may end up being solid white-on-black (like last year's shirt), depending on what Google does. Example: http://molenda.us/photos/linux-picnic-2004-08-07/DSC_0094-r.html )

How to Submit

Art can be submitted in Gimp (XCF), PNG or SVG format. Photoshop (PSD) or lossy-compressed formats (JPG) are less desirable.
