Linux Picnic Volunteers Meeting at 4PM on Sunday, July 16, 2006

Anyone volunteering or considering volunteering for the Linux Picnic is invited to join us for the volunteers meeting at 4PM on Sunday, July 16 at the IHOP Restaurant at 510 El Camino Real, Belmont, CA.

Obtaining traffic conditions

CHP has current Bay Area traffic incidents at http://cad.chp.ca.gov/sa_list.asp?centerin=GGCC&style=l

Monitor KCBS 740 AM or have a passenger phone 511 for current traffic conditions.

Anyone who needs the Bay Bridge (I-80): In case of traffic on the Bay Bridge or in San Francisco, an alternative route is the San Mateo Bridge (Hwy 92).

Driving Directions

Take US 101 to Belmont. It's about 10 miles south of San Francisco and 15 miles northwest of San Jose.

Use Exit 412 Ralston Ave. Go westbound (away from the bay) on Ralston Ave. (If you go the wrong direction from the freeway, the road is called Marine World Parkway - you'll see a Oracle buildings and waterways from the bay.)

Turn right at El Camino Real just after the undercrossing below the Caltrain tracks.

IHOP is on the left in 2000 feet (less than 1/2 mile).

Transit Directions

Take Caltrain to Belmont. Cross El Camino Real at Ralston. Turn right and walk "northbound" on El Camino for less than 1/2 mile to IHOP.
