The Haiku Project held a community gathering at Picn*x 16.
HaikuOS developers from across the continent were in attendance.
Haiku had a great success in getting a meeting together for its community and exposure for their project among other Open Source Software enthusiasts.
This should serve as an excellent model for future Open Source developer gatherings which can be held at Picn*x.
Haiku is an Open Source operating system currently in development designed from the ground up for desktop computing. Inspired by the BeOS, Haiku aims to provide users of all levels with a personal computing experience that is simple yet powerful, and free of any unnecessary complexities. http://www.haiku-os.org/
