Linux Picnic is 501(c)3
The Linux Picnic was granted 501(c)3 tax-exempt status by the IRS in 2007, retroactive to March 2006, via our non-profit umbrella corporation
The South Bay Community Network, Inc..
Donations to the Linux Picnic are tax-deductible in the US. Volunteer out-of-pocket expenses which are not reimbursed are deductible from the volunteer's taxes. However be careful because expenses which are reimbursed are not considered your expenses any more - it can only be one way or the other, not both.
