Picn*x 21 is canceled for 2012

There is no Linux Picnic in 2012 because no one volunteered to organize it when there was enough time to do so. Preferably there should be an organizer beginning to put together the organization by February when it's possible to reserve the park 6 months in advance. At a minimum, things need to come together by June to hold the event.

We can't say for sure if this is just a one-time thing in 2012. Whether there are volunteers in 2013 will answer that question. It is possible that as Linux becomes more ubiquitous, the community could just be satisfied with having done celebratory picnics on the anniversary of the Linux kernel from the 10th anniversary in 2001 to the 20th anniversary in 2011. If so, we should just declare victory and call it a job well done.

If you think we need to hold more Linux Picnics, please join us on the mail list, @linuxpicnic on Twitter or the Linux Picnic page on Facebook and say you're willing to help next year, especially if you're willing to be an organizer.
